Chocolate strawberry smoothie

This delicious Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie is a perfect Valentine’s day treat that comes together in just 5 minutes.

Not only does it satisfy a sweet tooth, but it also gives you a burst of energy and nutrition that keeps me going through the whole day. So put down those sugary treats and give this healthy chocolatey delight a try – your taste buds won’t regret it.

Ingredients

  • Banana: You’ll need one peeled and frozen banana. Bananas are one of my favorite fruits to put in smoothies. They’re a great source of potassium and give this Chocolate Strawberry smoothie its perfectly creamy texture.
  • Strawberries: Add 1 cup of frozen strawberries. Frozen fruits make your smoothie creamier than fresh fruits. But fresh fruit also works, use what you have!
  • Milk: You’ll need 1 ½ cups of almond milk. (You can use any milk of your choice.)
  • Honey: I like to add 1 tablespoon of raw honey to sweeten the smoothie but you can always omit that or add your preferred type of vegan sweetener.
  • Cocoa Powder: Now for that decadent chocolatey taste, you’ll need 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder. If you want your Chocolate Strawberry smoothie to have a really deep chocolate flavor, I recommend using organic cocoa powder (or cacao powder, which is raw chocolate powder)
  • Protein Powder: I like to keep my smoothies healthy and nutritious, so I usually add 1 serving of protein powder. You can use any protein powder of your choice.
  • Toppings: Chocolate-dipped strawberries and chocolate shavings are a great option for serving if you want to make this a pretty Valentine’s Day treat.
