If you’re curious how all this started, here’s a quick timeline of how we got here:
2009: The Quarter-Life Crisis
In my mid 20s, I was working a corporate job and feeling completely overwhelmed by all the conflicting nutrition advice online. I started this blog as a side project—mostly as a way to document what I was learning and experimenting with in my own life.
2011: Took the Leap
I became a certified health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, left my day job, and committed to helping others feel better through food and lifestyle changes. I started coaching clients, created my first online course, and kept sharing recipes and wellness tips on the blog.
2014–2018: The Growth Years
The blog picked up momentum and so did the community. I launched new programs, partnered with some incredible brands, and continued developing the simple, nourishing recipes that readers now come back for week after week.
2019: The Health Habit
My first traditionally published book, The Health Habit, hit bookshelves—and it was a pinch-me moment. The book is all about building a lifestyle that actually works for you (with zero perfectionism required). It’s still a great place to start if you want to go deeper.
2020–2024: Evolving With the Times
From recipe development to digital business education, I expanded into new spaces—helping other wellness pros build brands they’re proud of, and continuing to grow ElizabethRider.com into a go-to source for healthy living that’s actually doable.
2025: 65,000+ Newsletter Readers 🎉
