Description
Avocado toast is a quick, satisfying meal or snack that works any time of day. Toasted bread topped with creamy avocado and a pinch of sea salt comes together in just minutes, and it’s easy to customize based on what you have. This recipe includes six simple avocado toast variations—from classic and savory to fresh and spicy—so you can rotate flavors without adding extra effort.
Ingredients
- 1 slice of whole-grain bread (or your favorite bread)
- 1/2 of a small ripe avocado, thinly sliced & scooped out of the peel (use 1/4 of an avocado if it's large)
- a pinch of sea salt to taste
- Optional: Any of the toppings mentioned in the notes below
Instructions
- Toast your bread in a toaster or toaster oven until lightly golden brown. (We like toaster setting 3.)
- Lay your avocado slices on top of your toast, then top with a pinch of sea salt. Alternatively, you can mash your avocado if you prefer the texture. Top with any options listed in the notes section.
- Leave it plain or add any other toppings of your choice (noted below). Enjoy!
