Description

Roasted Garlic is soft, caramelized perfection with a rich, buttery sweetness. Spread it on bread, mix into sauces, or stir into soups for an instant flavor boost!

Ingredients

  • 2 large heads of garlic
  • 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
  2. Peel off the outward papery layer of the garlic. Using the whole garlic head, place its side and slice the top 1/4 off and place it onto a large piece of foil.
  3. Drizzle the raw garlic with olive oil.
  4. Seal the foil up by wrapping it around both parts. You will create a little packet enclosed loosely around the garlic, trying to not touch the sides of the garlic.
  5. Roast the garlic in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes. (each oven varies by cooking time). You will know when the garlic is done when it is soft and golden in color.

Notes

  • Storage: Remove the roasted garlic cloves from the head and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze: Freeze leftover roasted garlic in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container for up to 3 months.
