Description
Roasted Garlic is soft, caramelized perfection with a rich, buttery sweetness. Spread it on bread, mix into sauces, or stir into soups for an instant flavor boost!
Ingredients
- 2 large heads of garlic
- 2 Tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees fahrenheit.
- Peel off the outward papery layer of the garlic. Using the whole garlic head, place its side and slice the top 1/4 off and place it onto a large piece of foil.
- Drizzle the raw garlic with olive oil.
- Seal the foil up by wrapping it around both parts. You will create a little packet enclosed loosely around the garlic, trying to not touch the sides of the garlic.
- Roast the garlic in the preheated oven for about 40-50 minutes. (each oven varies by cooking time). You will know when the garlic is done when it is soft and golden in color.
Notes
- Storage: Remove the roasted garlic cloves from the head and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Freeze: Freeze leftover roasted garlic in a freezer-safe bag or airtight container for up to 3 months.
