Description
Quinoa is high in protein and fiber, and adding crispy quinoa to any meal is a great way to add fun texture and flavor to your dish.
Ingredients
Units
- 1 cup cooked quinoa (it needs to be already cooked and cooled, and mostly dry)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil (or your preferred cooking oil)
- 1/4 teaspoon fine-grain sea salt (I use Real Salt), or 1/2 tsp Diamond Crystal kosher salt
optional, add extra flavor with herbs, chili oil, or a natural sweetener of choice (see ideas in notes)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- Combine cooked quinoa with extra virgin olive oil, and salt then mix well.
- Spread the quinoa on a parchment-lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake at 375°F for 25-30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
- If adding an optional flavoring, add in the last 10 minutes of baking and toss to coat.
- Once golden brown and crispy, remove from the oven.
Serve crispy quinoa as a topping, part of a quinoa bowl, or as a side dish. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 7 days.
